JOB PURPOSE

This position is responsible to assist the operations of fire safety installation and maintenance.

Provide immediate technical support to solve the safety related issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure the operations of Fire Detection Protection, Fire Suppression System Fire Pump, hydrant system & Public address (PA) Systems.

Assist to prepare relevant drawings & budgets of Fire Detection & Protection System Projects.

Ensure prompt action for any repair/maintenance of Fire Safety Installations.

Provide assistance to carry out fire safety installation projects

Keep record for all types of maintenance work and schedule check up.

Ensure inspection of different sites & take immediate action to avoid any incident.

Ensure the checking of all Safety Equipment.

Act as a member of an Emergency Response Team during Fire, Earthquake or any other emergency situations.

Assist to Organize & Conduct Safety Training/Tool Box Meeting for BRAC staff and 3rd party workers.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Efficient in problem solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work in complex projects and Ability to handle pressure

Knowledge about safety standards as per Fire Prevention & Extinguishing Act, BNBC, NFPA and relevant.

• Materials, methods, and the tools involved in Fire fighting system.

Basic Occupational Health & Safety

Able to operate Microsoft office tools such as word, excel etc.

AutoCAD, Pipe flow network (Preferred)

Capability of providing Basic First Aid as required.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT 

Diploma from any recognized institution (preferably in Civil / Electrical / Power Technology/Mechanical Engineering)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 5 years' experience in Fire safety.
